what did your mucous plug look like?

and how soon after losing it did u go into labour? any answers appreciated!

Big lump of clear blobby jelly stuff. Shortly followed by show, slightly bloody mucous. Went into labour 4 and half days later. First baby.

i had a show a week before but i'd just had a sweep, lost more show the day i was in lbaour and it was bloody mucus,whereas before it was just mucous

Blop of slightly bloody mucous followed by first child 12 hours later :)

I had mine at 9am and was in labour by 11am, fully dilated by 3om, baby by 7pm. Plug was like a big blob of pale yellow snot with bit of blood. Was not as much or as big and bloody as I expected and I was not 100% sure it as a plug....but then I was also not 100% sure I was having contractions which is why I almost had ds in the carpark of the hospital!

1st baby was clear and alot i got it after my sweep, didnt actually get a bloody one though till in labour that was induced 5 days after mucus plug. this time i have been loosing my mucus plug in bits for 7 weeks now (confirmed by doc) and glad i havent gone into labour yet as im only nearly 30 weeks. this time its just like jelly snot same colour and everthing

LIke jelly and blood all mixed together. Ds arrived 16 hours later.

Like a big brown slug.
Was grim and arrived about half way through labour. Really grossed me out for some reason. Glad I was on the loo at the time!

oh, DD arrived about 6hrs later. :)

I never saw mine, or my waters, just started bleeding, a bit like a period, then contractions started an hour later.

DD arrived 12 hours later.

Please forgive this stupid question but what is a 'show'? Have heard ladies talk of them before but now i'm TTC i'm insanely curious about everything but have no-one I can ask (ttc in secret)

With first small amount of jelly, see through stuff couple of days before DS1 was born, then more bloody stuff in the hours before he came out.

With second, it was all so quick I don't remember seeing a plug.

This time I had 12 hours of bleeding (after sex), then brown jelly been coming in bits for several days now...

It's like bloody mucus Tasteslikepanda - usually get it shortly before labour really gets going.

Like a blood coloured blob of blood in the loo.

That was approx 11pm at night, contractions were achy until about 4am then they really kicked in. DS arrived by emcs at 10am.

With the first I was induced and don't remember seeing one at all. With second I had a couple of clear jelly shows a few days before and then during labour I had an enormous show of thick brown slightly blood tinged goo - about a handful of it. Delightful!
