Tried for preg, and first time succeeded! have 4.5 year old and 6 year old, due in Oct, is this age gap too big?

It will be lovely. Congratulations!

Congratulations! Smile

There are 3 of us and the gaps between us were 3 years and then 4.5 years, similar to yours. No problems with big gaps, in some ways better as less competition / sibling rivalry as they get older!

Just really anxious about it, ocs now of course there is the reality, feel a bit ambivalent. DH is thrilled! I know early days,so prob best not to get too excited
Thnks

Congratulations and good luck with your pregnancy. I'm same age and expecting 3rd in May - so much for fertility slumps after 40! Just try not to worry about all the stats and enjoy it as much as possible.

I have a 8yr and 7yr Old , next baby due in March,

When my girls where younger I found having such a small age gap very hard ,but also they always had a play mate in each other and are very close.

Either way , there is always going to be a positive and a negitive.

Well, it's a bit late to worry about that now!! The deed is done Grin And of course it's not too big. I have a 6 year gap between my eldest and youngest sons with a daughter in between.

Oh and CONGRATULATIONS :) :) :)

lol my hubby is going to be a fourty year old first time father, although i'm going to be 29, as I am 8 wks pregnant. i really don't think nowadays it is such a big issue.
