Apple slices with peanut butter. I actually can't stop eating them. I don't actually like peanut butter either!

Maitri · 30/01/2011 22:04

Salad here too. 2 or 3 bags per day. Has been like that for the past 5 months. It's costing me a fortune. Has nothing to do with health reasons: I need it SO badly. I panic if I don't have any in the house.

sam26oscar · 30/01/2011 22:09

oh i wish i had one Envy very boring but crave absolutely nothing, can't even begin to understand the "have to have it now" feeling!! Could always pretend though Hmm

Latte's: I dream about them, and it can only be from one coffee place in town so it's tough to get them as I'm not always in town, also, I only allow myself one coffee a day so I'm trying not to drink them too much, it sucks!

Kitty81 · 30/01/2011 22:10

I hate lettuce normally! I have been just DREAMING of little gems all week. Literally laying in bed last night, 2am, thinking; there's a little gem in the fridge. Could just eat it whole.

Mind you it was whole packs of dark choc divestures for about 2 weeks before that. Think I was doing a pack a day at one point; nothing else would do. I was breaking them into my muesli, dipping them in tea, crushing them onto fruit...

Apple and peanut butter sounds lush! Anyone know why cravings happen; I know what Maitri means; it's not like, ooh I fancy a salad, it's like gimme salad now Grin

Sand! 10 points. Nice and mad... How are you coping with that? Assuming you are not at the beach sprinkling it onto your ice cream... :)

jemsy87 · 30/01/2011 22:17

Im coping by eating rennies by the packet its the only thing that gets rid of the craving...its such a strong craving 2 I have never wanted to eat something so badly in my life ....... its quite scary - if anyone us having there drive done in my area and has a bag of that sand stuff left in the drive way and I walk past I am not going to be responsible for my actions Blush

jemsy87 · 30/01/2011 22:19

Sponges Confused
Had this craving really bad with my 1st DS, if I saw a soapy sponge I just wanted to eat it, it was a nightmare, thought I was doing really well this time until I saw a new bathroom sponge in my Mums bathroom the other day and started salivating!
It is a completely unique thing cos even after I had DS i didnt want to eat them anymore but could remember the urge really well.

Oh and maybe for an extra point, my Mum craved raw sausages (and ate them) im suprised we all turned out ok! x

beckie90 · 30/01/2011 23:06

oh i have the worst cravings

petrol, i wana drink petrol when i smell it i just wanna drink it so bad.
sponges, i wanna eat a wet sponge, an love the smell off freshly wet sponges, when i get in the bath i actually chew on it lol
fairy fabric softner love smellin it an wana drink that too
and ice a pretty normal one haha

Kitty81 · 31/01/2011 00:35

Sponges, petrol... Points all round.

I have no idea how you cope; I get quite antsy if I can't have something I'm craving... What have your midwives said?

Been thinking about a can of lilt for a couple of hours now :)

valentinemum10 · 31/01/2011 07:50

lime putty for old bricks!!! Anything kind of chalky, even brick dust...i know. Its wierd...having a room refurbished for baby and im disturbed my my sudden mouth watering and loitering round a dirty dusty room... Nearest thing i got to satisfying it is eating slabs of a certain brand of feta cheese...

RememberToPlaywiththeKids · 31/01/2011 08:56

For those of you craving sand and petrol and other 'non-food' items - it's a strong sign that you're iron deficient.

Strongly suggest getting some liquid iron to take daily - e.g. floradix or spatone

!!!

SpannerPants · 31/01/2011 09:05

Beef flavoured crisps dipped in nutella - yum!

mum295 · 31/01/2011 09:38

Quavers. About all I can keep down at the moment.

beckie90 · 31/01/2011 09:38

ive been checked last wednesday for iron deficiency, so far no news so they said no news is good news.
