I just put a splash of fabric softener in my tea instead of milk

FFS! last teabag aswell

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
RustyBear · 30/01/2011 13:44

Did you take the teabag out before you put the 'milk' in? If so, you might be able to get another cup out of it!

TinyDiamond · 30/01/2011 13:47

Nope :( ruined. Oh well. Back to the orange squash

Haha that's hilarious! Gotta love the old baby brain :)

tlise · 30/01/2011 21:54

beats my putting shaving gel on my toothbrush :D

SingingSands · 30/01/2011 21:56

Oh dear! I used to make tea then put the milk in the dishwasher, quite regularly!

Bet you were really looking forward to a cuppa as well!

MrsNoggin · 31/01/2011 10:14

S'alright, I put fish food in my glass of water the other day instead of orange squash...Hmm

In my defence they are beside each other on the window sill.

OmicronPersei8 · 31/01/2011 10:19

I've poured a lovely lot of ribena instead of olive oil into a pan before.

Have you go a herbal tea that you could have instead? Something warm and soothing.

midori1999 · 31/01/2011 10:38

I haven't done that, but I keep putting things away in odd places. My DH found the flour in the fridge dor the other day and the milk in the cupboard. Grin

OmicronPersei8 · 31/01/2011 10:39

I should add that I'm not even pregnant. Blush

lolajane2009 · 31/01/2011 10:43

i have found that since the pregnancy I miss the glass everytime when I put squash in it. No idea how but I manage it. Also keep forgetiing where I put things like my glasses and my necklace with my engagement and wedding ring on it.

KirstyJC · 31/01/2011 10:45

I feel your pain!

I poured milk into the cafetiere and boiling water over my Frosties this morning. And it was the last of the packet!

Mmmango · 31/01/2011 10:50

Olive oil over my porridge instead of honey the other week. I thought it looked different as it was coming out.

SerenaJoy · 31/01/2011 12:11

My speciality at the moment is walking into a room, then realising I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing there. Usually stand there looking blank for a minute, then give up and go for a sit down.

Although to be fair I did it before I got pregnant too, it's just a more regular occurrence now Grin

zippy30 · 01/02/2011 15:28

I do the 'walking into a room and staring blankly' thing too.

Also, accidentally put ground cumin on my porridge instead of cinnamon the other morning - yuck!

spatchcock · 01/02/2011 15:31

My mouth actually watered a little bit when I read the OP. Confused

RugbyWidow7 · 02/02/2011 19:18

This is hilarious - just made me laugh out loud!

coldtits · 02/02/2011 19:20

Awwww. I once put the cheese in the cutlery drawer

ozzysocks · 02/02/2011 19:30

lol Grin yep could have been me doing that! I routinely put everything in the fridge (cutlery, coffee, sugar and keys!) I am doing it so often that I'm worried it has become normal and will carry on forever Wink am 36 weeks now and no stopping yet.

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 02/02/2011 19:31

I poured boiling water all over my feet because I forgot to put the colander in the sink before draining the pasta..

I also put flour in my coffee a few weeks ago instead of sugar. Biscuit

out of interest, OP, do you keep your fabric softener anywhere near your milk?

TinyDiamond · 02/02/2011 21:53

Not usually no. But it was on the side and I had just taken milk out of fridge and placed next to it so easily done I suppose. Still haven't bought anymore teabags...been so sick haven't felt like it yet.

BillBrysonsRucksack · 03/02/2011 11:45

Ivy what were you doing standing in the sink in the first place? Grin

When DS1 was about 6 weeks old I took him to clinic, spent time undressing him, weighed him, went home and realised I had absolutely no clue what the scales had said. Hadn't bothered to write it down either.

Haven't done anything silly yet this time around, but it's early days!

Ems82 · 03/02/2011 20:04

I sent my DH to work the other day with a packet of Bold 2in1 washing tablets in his lunch box instead of a nutrigrain bar Blush not as nutritious for him lol

tlise · 05/02/2011 18:47

BillByronsRucksack maybe OP was tap dancing? :) Thats the sort of thing I would have said if I had thought quick enough lol.

tlise · 05/02/2011 18:48

Ems82 at least he would be clean from the inside Grin
