Early nesting

Does anyone else get the nesting urge really early on in pregnancy? One of my pregnancy symtoms is the urge to clear out cupboards,clean and sort everything but i get it from about 6wks! It's getting to the point of being silly - i am obsessed with it!

Yy I would get on with the decluttering while you have the energy and motivation!

I've been the same, about to take on the garage. I am really having to resist putting up some shelves I got for the garage recently as they are pretty heavy and it wouldn't be wise for me to do this in my condition. So having to wait for my DH to put them up, might have to start nagging soon as very keen to get on with tidying. I really need to get a life!

As for the nesting - yep, I love preparing for a new addition. I always try and make the most of it because it doesn't last

That's my problem - have got some bookcases that HAVE to be moved! Well, they don't but i need to. Dh won't do it for me - he gets fed up with it after the intial cleaning phase is over. He knows he'll be moving furniture,painting etc from now until D.Day!

Hi M.B - are you on the sept thread? Had a bleed at 5+3 for a few days. Thought maybe a v early miscarriage but i guess it was an implantation bleed.Symptoms are stronger and my belly is huge (i get really bloated in the early wks, plus this will be dc no5)

I'm 7 weeks today and my husband has a serious nesting urge! he's DIYing like mad since I found out I was preggo 3 weeks ago!

I wish mine had a nesting urge reckless! MungBeans - i'm just hoping i'm cured after this one

I am 11 weeks and spent an hour yesterday scrubbing the bottom of my fridge with a toothbrush. My husband came home for lunch and just laughed at me and said, "it's official, you are pregnant!" I say do what you can while you have the motivation and congratulations!

I started clearing out the day I found I was pregnant. (just under 5 weeks)

Glad it's not just me that gets it this early! Still,makes up for the endless bf when the baby is born - don't intend doing much else then!

I am with LilQueenie! I was cleaning before the test showed positive (but suspected I was pg)! Guess this will not last though as it's DC3 so will probably run out of energy (and time!) soon!! No nesting urge at all with the first and kicked in at about 36 weeks with DS2! Happy scrubbing ladies

I have a serious nesting urgh, or perhaps it's just a need to get things done before I can't! I'm 12 weeks, just bought kit to underfloor heat bathroom, going to move shower and tile walls too, eyeing up a new oven, want to put a fire in living room, going to paint kitchen too.....well I say I am, what I mean is OH and his mate :) I'll just buy beer for them both. We've already painted my SD and SSs room so that they don't feel ousted by new arrival :)
