hello, I am rubbish at both maths and this pregnancy business, so wondering if someone can help.

Went for my 12 week dating and nuchal scan today, only to be told baby measured as if 14 weeks (exactly). Couldn't have the nuchal scan as too late, and am really confused.

New due date is 28 July (was 10 Aug before) and from looking online looks as though I conceived 1 Nov?? But i thought i ovulated 14th to 18th Oct. I had written in my diary that my period in Sept started 3 Sept, and my period in Oct started 3 Oct.

Am confused as can't make any sense of it. Do I need to worry anyway? Thanks, apologies for long, boring and complicated post...

Honey, I wouldn't worry, your 14 instead of 12! Whoohoooooo!! Two less weeks to be uncomfortable!!! And no I really wouldn't worry!! Maybe peak to your midwife about it at your next app. She'll help you understand it, I have baby brain and that goes over my head too unless I get my calendar out for you and I ain't moving from this couch!!!! :)

Hi redundant,
That happened to me last time with my ds - they said I was a week further on than I thought at my 12 week scan. Funny thing was baby was born in line with my dates, but was really big (10lb 3!) He showed bigger on all the measurements later on too! :o

thanks both. oh lord - hope i'm not going to have a giant! Only reason I am worried really is partly as would like to have had the nuchal scan as am over 35, and I just wondered if it affected anything else.

YOu can still get a triple or quadruple test in the second trimester to assess your baby's risk of Down's syndrome. They are done through blood test only.
