I'm going to the hospital tomorrow am after GP refered me. Spotting has stopped not (fingers crossed). What will the hospital do? I'm guessing they'll scan as they've asked for a full bladder.

Read about checking hormone levels - do they give you immediate results? I'm on 6 +2 weeks pg with dc #2.

If you're only 6 weeks they may give you an internal scan as hard to see that early with one on your stomach. It's a bit invasive but not painful so nothing to worry about.

I bled until past 13 weeks and everything was fine so it can work out. I got immediate results as they could see a blood clot that was causing it and they could also see the baby's heartbeat. They stll tell you that you might miscarry though probably because it's somewhat common and they feel they have to.

The scan is really to check that the pregnancy is not molar or ectopic - so your health vs. the babies at that stage but the information you get is still the same if that makes sense.

Good luck by the way and fingers crossed for you :)
