I've got pains on my hips and bottom back, like a nerves trapped. It hurts more when walking :(

I'm only 10+5. Anyone got any tips to help ease it up?

Have had something similar (also 10+5) with my right hip joint for the past 2 weeks. Think I threw my hip out during labour with DD a few years back, and with hips now expanding it's flared up again.

You have my sympathy!

I went to see the GP and he just said to take paracetemol if it gets very painful. It has actually eased up a bit in past few days.

I tried all sorts last week, yoga/Pilates poses and cycling at the gym but it did no good.

I spoke to midwife yesterday at booking appointment and she said to contact midwife team if it gets worse, they can refer me to specialist ante-natal physios.

If you are not yet booked in with midwife, go to see GP to ask for advice, or wait, if you can, to see midwife at your appointment.

Take care x

I'm under consultant lead care at the min, it's not too bad, bath and hot water bottle help but it's just dam annoying.

I'd do what you suggest if it gets worse..

too early for an SPD imho. you might be just stiff... try these www.womenfitness.net/top10_yoga_exercises.htm

I'm not allowed to do yoga or anything till I see the consultant. Midwife reckons it's sciatica :( I've just got to keep my eye on it, and walk about as much as I can without going too much.

As soon as I get the 'ok' for excercise il be doing yoga :) thanks for the link
