Lovely topic!
I had them after I gave birth to lottie. No stitches but painful piles.
I seem to have a pile at the moment and want it gone. Can I use that anusol stuff in pegnancy do you know?

Yes you can - plenty of it.

Thank God for that
Thanks Mears, the answer I was looking for and so quickly as well. You rock!

I also had them after the birth of my first dd but this time its 5 weeks before my EDD and I'm in uncomfortable agony!! Have been using the cream but no help so far. Will they disappear of their own accord? It's making me dread the delivery.

have you tried the Anusol suppositories as well and are you using lots of cream and often?
Mine doesn't hurt but i want it gone before labour obviously.

Creams etc. haven't worked at all! Have just found a website with a natural remedy - expensive but I don't think I can afford not to try it - have ordered some and will let you know how I get on!

They aren't available on prescription but Germaloids suppositries (?spelling) worked better for me than Anusol. I feel for you, I suffered with ds and am pg again. The only 'consolation' I was offered by the midwife was that it means the pregnancy hormones are working properly!!
