Please be gentle with me, I've been lurking on this thread for a little while but have not been quite brave enough to dive in yet because of an early scare.
I know that this may not be appropriate for many of you, as we only tend to get referred to our nearest EPU but can I take this opportunity to big Carlisle up a bit?????
I don't have any other personal experience, just that which I've read about on here, and what friends have experienced, but the care there has been amazing.
I was referred after early cramping, had an appointment within 24 hours, and have had three visits - they've taken bloods and had results back within the hour, I've had three scans already (I'm only 7 weeks), and every time the staff have been attentive, caring and compassionate.
Yes, the clinics NEVER ran to time, but that is because they gave every appointment all the time it needed, and we never felt rushed out of the door. And today, they switched my appointment time to slightly later as my OH was still parking the car and they didn't want him to miss the scan.
I know that, quite rightly, there are reports of people having horrific hospital experiences, but I just wanted report a positive experience...
