How much decaf tea/coffee can you have per day? Does anyone know how much caffeine is in it compared to ordinary stuff?

depends on the individual brand, most are minimal or none at all, therefore you can have as much as you like, if you drink green tea or fruit tea etc, it counts as water intake as no diuretic, not 100% sure whether the caffeine causes that or something else, but basically drink away!

I don't drink much coffee anyway but mine is decaf but I am drinking tea as much as I want. Think its just normal stuff you have to watch :)

coffee made decaf through the water process is much much better than the chemical process to decaf-ing.

I'm sure you'd need to drink a LOT of decaff to come close to the recommended caffeine limit.

Having said that, I've been drinking a good strong coffee every morning and a cup of tea each afternoon - I'm at the "it'll be fine" end of the spectrum.

But I must correct propercrimbo in that green tea DOES contain caffeine, unlike most other types of herbal/fruit tea.

If you have a google, you'll find charts/info with the amounts of caffeine in various drinks.

Deffo look for organic decaf - water decaf method as explained above. Chemicals used to take out caffeine can be more dangerous than the caffeine itself.

I really wouldn't drink decaf, even if not pregnant. The chemicals used to decaf it are far worse than a bit of caffeine!

Clipper is the easiest to find organic decaf, available in most supermarkets (not Morrison's for some reason though).
