Hi! Can anyone recommend a private consultant for amnio in London area please.

The best known is the Fetal Medical Centre with prof nicolaides. Lots of people on the antenatal tests threads have been there and he is considered the leading consultant in this area.

Seconded over the FMC. If you have an appointment on Wednesdays you will see the professor himself - he probably has one of the safest hands in the world! This is a dude who does laser surgeries on placentas for twins with problems.. an amnio he could probably do standing on his head blindfolded!

I had my amnio done at the FMC, by the professor. As well as being very quick, he was incredibly reassuring about the safety of the procedure, and I felt relaxed throughout it and afterwards. Highly recommend him.
