It is midnight. I have a stinking cold, the bump is squirming around, I have restless leg syndrome, my DP is snoring happily in bed and I cannot sleep a wink! Have work tomorrow at 8.30!

Any tips to get to sleep? Please?!

Hi I was same last night and my other 2DC have been ill so haven't slept for 4days so feeling like a zombie. No tips just a bit of sympathy. Hope you get some sleep tonight. X

Not really any tips, but sympathy, Sunday night was my worst night ever, but last night was amazing! So maybe you'll have lots of sleep tonight.

FWIW (doesn't really relate to you being ill though), my magic solution for last night was shower, clean jamas, clean bed linen, lavendar oil on jamas and pillow (and on my chest actually so it moves when I do!), and two paracetemol. Did the trick!

Also, when DH is snoring, I have much more success if I just give up and get comfy with a blanket on the sofa, rather than lying there Angry / Envy about him sleeping so well. I usually sleep OK on the sofa so don't force myself to stay in bed if it's not working.

Sympathy too. I have warm drink like peppermint, get as cosy as possible on comfy chair until half asleep and then retreat to the spare room where it looks like I have made a nest out of pillows!! Generally means I get a bit more sleep.

TBH sometimes nothing works then its the sofa and something mind numbing on telly. It takes my mind off the fact that baby is attempting to break out alien style!

Bath before bed also good! Better luck tonight

I've had (a bit of) relief from restless legs by resting them on a hot water bottle - might not work for you but could be worth a try!
