Oh my life, I'm not sure which husband was most annoying tonight.

I think my own DH was in shock at 'just cut it out' (this is our first baby together) until I pointed out to him that actually that is what you can be reduced to in labour. She was making a fuss, but I did feel sorry for her.

buttonmoon78 · 24/01/2011 22:06

Not half as much fuss as I made!

And I know now whichone you're talking about now giraffe. Obviously had a hard paper round!

midori i thought that one's husband was lovely! he was making such an effort as birth partner
also i really felt for that girl, it seemed a difficult labour for a 2nd baby. i dont think she made too much fuss really? i found that birth so emotional to watch

midori1999 · 24/01/2011 22:28

Funnily enough, my DH said he bet loads of women were watching and thinking he was lovely. I'm sure it suited her (although I did feel like he was talking to her like a child a lot of the time) but I would have lamped him had he been my DH. Then again, I can't stand anyone to touch me in labour.

I did think it seemed a hard labour for a second baby too.

saltnvinigarcrips · 24/01/2011 22:30

I agree midori I found him very irritating and babying. I've told my DH i don't want him to act like a coach. Not that he would anyway as he isn't like that but I thought he was quite controlling but tbh I think she needed and wanted him to be like that.

Didn't he call her 'pumpkin' at some point. I would have swung for him then....:-)

clarebear1 · 24/01/2011 22:41

Haha i felt the same too, had his stop watch out too...
