ok, I'm no where near about to drop so this isn't a get it out of me thread!

Just a complaint and a rant :) I'm 8 weeks and it feels like it's been FOREVER that we've known and seems like FOREVER until we'll get to meet our little baby bean!

Some women have said they can't believe how quickly it's gone - how did it go so quickly?! Did you have a crazy time machine - give me one!

arghhhhhhhhhh 7 more months to wait.
hmph
xx

Hehe, I sympathise. I'm 30 weeks but it feels like it's taken forever! Time is starting to speed up a bit and it'll be easier when you can tell people Smile

sam26oscar · 23/01/2011 20:17

sorry it doesn't go much quicker the further along you get in my opinion!!! Am 34+3 and we didn't tell anyone til i was nearly 5 months and even now some people at school look shocked to see me with huge bump, then ask how long i've got to go, when i say 6 weeks they say gosh hasn't that gone quick!! UHHH NO!!!!! 40 weeks is a chuffin long time!!!!!

CrawlingInMySkin · 23/01/2011 20:43

I found it went slow on my first and quick on my second.

jazz412 · 23/01/2011 20:57

5 months is a long time to wait to tell anyone! I'm so impatient!!!!

I'm nor joking it feels like I've been pregnant for an age!

At least I'm not an elephant (in terms of gestation time not weight...!)

LOL jazz i didn't show that much and after previous m/c's just didn't get around to telling many people!! we told close family at 14 weeks after nuchal scan and then DS at 22 weeks. I did wonder if hewould notice my belly getting bigger as we still share a bath but no...bless him never said a thing!!!

EveryonesJealousOfGingers · 23/01/2011 21:11

First trimester takes ages because you feel sick and can't tell anyone, second trimester goes really quickly because you get to tell everyone and have loads of midwife appts, scans etc, and then the third trimester goes really slowly again because you hardly see the midwife and you get reeeeallllyyy big and tired!

Congratulations and it will all be worth it I promise :)

JenniL1977 · 23/01/2011 21:18

Hi Jazz I knew at 3 weeks.
Week 3 lasted a month.
Week 4 lasted a month.
I'm now 10+3 and week 10 is lasting a month.

Sorry hon :) time's just standing still for me! And everyone we know knows already too!
They all tell me it'll get better. I don't believe them :)

cookingfat · 23/01/2011 21:32

I'm 38+2, and time is only just starting to go normally. It reaaaally drags!!

jazz412 · 23/01/2011 22:12

GREAT.
well you've all managed to make me feel like I'm just as impatient as you lot at least!

sam26oscar sorry to hear about your Mc's - I had one last year although it wasn't really viable from the beginning as no stick tests were positive just a blood test, it was weird and didn't feel "right"
I'm happy to say though with this one I feel VERY pregnant, sore boobs, sick gaggy, EVERYTHING smells funny etc etc
Also - you didn't show? How lucky :) my trousers don't fit now but perhaps that's due to post xmas... good excuse I've got though eh? ;)

everyone looking forward to all of the scans etc although what's a Nuchal scan? I'm sure it will be worth it - better bloody be!

Jenni yes weeks have turned into months for me too ALL OF THEM!

cookingfat cheers... Grin

xx

im 7+1 and time has never gone so slow, when i had my dd it zoomed past until the las 2 weeks as i went 13 days over but i feel like ive been pregnant for a year, can i share that time machene? Smile

Chloejp91 · 23/01/2011 22:54

I'm due Tuesday and it's gone so quick for me! Its shocking cause I remember being 12 weeks like it was yesterday and saying "9 weeks to go" like it was yesterday also!

It does get quicker.. I think if anything my 2nd trimester dragged and the 3rd has flown by.. Simply cause I've bought/done everything the last three weeks which is crazy but I procrastinate a lot lol.

Enjoy it (probably annoying to hear) cause it truly does go so quick!

jazz412 · 23/01/2011 23:00

urgh chloe so annoying to hear! I can't enjoy being sick!! but nice to think that it will go quickly - or is that just looking back on it that it's gone quickly?

layla YES lets make a time machine and go back in time and when we've realised that we've gone forward too much and need a night full of sleep we can go back Wink

I'm on week 11 myself and counting the days, literally. It makes myself feel a bit better when I look on a pregnancy tracker of some kind (tells you how far along in your pregnancy you are day by day) as it doesn't feel as slow when I do so! Still, it's like waiting and staring at a clock sometimes.

I'm at the moment fussing over whether my current belly is a bump or bump + belly fat! (Not overweight, but had a bit of baggage on the good ol' tummy.)

So I know how you feel! We'll trudge our way through the first trimester and then make our way into the second. Eventually.

snowangels1 · 24/01/2011 08:35

oh yeah, I'm now 36 weeks and it seems like a lifetime since I last felt normal. In the first trimester I felt so terrible that every hour of every day dragged and just to get through one day was an achievement. I have to say that over christmas/new year time picked up, but, I think that was only due to festivities and that we moved house so we were very busy and stressed, time is slowing now once again. It feels like I can't wait to not be pregnant but at the same time I want to stay pregnant as I'm so petrified of the birth bit Shock

jazz412 · 24/01/2011 11:55

ahhhhh snowangels don't go there! I'm thinking, pregnant then baby NO BIRTH in between!! ;)

Heehee, sorry jazz. One bit of advice I'd give is (as soon as you start to feel ok) to book in stuff to do at weekends, so there's always something to look forward to. Even small things like meeting someone for coffee make the weeks tick by.

jazz412 · 24/01/2011 12:38
Hmm xx
