My friend had itchy hands when she was pregnant and it was a symptom of something else that needed treating, have a chat with your doctor or midwife :)

how pg are you? It'd be wise to get a blood test to rule out Obstetric Cholestasis which presents as itching esp on the hands and feet.

But other things can cause itching in pg, stretching skin, becoming temporarily intolerant to some food / toiletries.. deffo rule out the OC first though.

How pregnant are you? I developed a pregnancy rash that started on my stomach and spread to my arms and legs - basically, as it was my first child and a boy, his DNA was reacting badly with mine! I was basically allergic to him!!

Depending how intolerable it is ( I literally could hardly sleep, and spent all day and night for 6 weeks with ice packs on the itchy spots!) , you can get referred to a dermatologist who can prescribe some safe cream for you.

Maybe make and appt with your GP and check it out, it could probably be a lot of things.

You need to tell your midwife and get your liver function checked. It can be fatal for baby if you have obstetric cholestasis.

I am 33 weeks pregnant. It's not all the time just occasionally and it will last for a couple of hours but it is so annoying!!!

I get it too, am 24 weeks at the mo, just been to see my midwife for routine check and she has taken my blood as I mentioned the itchiness on my back and feet. I should have the results in about 3 days time. Worth doing I think if only so that you know either way :-)
