Hi all,

Am 33+2 and this is my first baby, I woke up this morning and decided I wanted to clean everything in my bedroom...Windows, Curtains, Furniture, floors ...walls! Not that I dont polish/hoover on a regular basis but I mean really clean...with Flash which is a bit unusual for me atm as have been feeling lazy and sluggish! Was wondering from how many weeks do you usually start 'nesting' as it were and could this be me nesting? Sorry for the ramble any replies grately appriciated! hope all is well with everyone xx

I started at about 33 weeks and forced my dh to move house when I was 40 weeks...my ds was a week late, so that gave us time!

I cleaned from dusk until dawn until he was born!

I never nested - I just got round to cleaning out all the kitchen cupboards which I'd never done before, 1 week before DD1 arrived.

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and I've been nesting for a few weeks now. I'm really, really enjoying it and finding all the sorting, cleaning, organising etc VERY satifying! I've been doing jobs that I've been putting off for years, and hope to have everything in its final resting place by the time my baby is born. I just have to be careful to take plenty of rest breaks because all the decision making is exhausting!

I cleaned a cupboard out a month ago, thank god I came to my senses and havent tried to do anything like that again

Applemuncher · 23/01/2011 15:38

I'm nesting too - am 32 weeks and I'm normally very anti-cleaning (I have a cleaner), recently I've been taking everything apart, going through drawers, chucking out all the unnecessary etc.

I also have SPD so it's not easy for me to do but I just can't help myself!

Am 39+4 and the only reason I am nesting is because dh is forcing me to do it!!!

Haven't had the urge or inclination to clean or tidy and even managed to delegate the tidying of the kitchen to my mil Grin

I also know my mum is threatening to come to the house when I am in labour to give it a final clean and hoover, and who am I to argue with my mother!!!!!

Who knows, one day this week it may kick in!

hoolabombshell · 23/01/2011 17:01

Am 36 weeks today and still waiting for this nesting thing to kick in. Love the idea of it but really, who has the energy??!! Am ashamed really as hospital bag still not packed, brand new cot and pram covered in clean laundry that needs folded, aaagh!

Maybe I'll do it next week.

I'm 30 weeks and have spent all weekend nesting. This is so out of character as I'm usually such a lazy cow.

Have been sorting the nursery, washing baby clothes, cleaning out cupboards, hoovering, dusting and making lists! Loving it. My partner not so much as he has been given an endless list of tasks too. Grin

jellyhead188 · 23/01/2011 21:07

I'm def nesting, I don't want to clean but I wanted to sort through all the baby clothes in the loft (baby 3) for hte last few days, I just HAD to do it!!!
