So, we went for our 20wk scan today. We saw some amazing pictures. At one point all we were looking at was baby's face and it was chewing, not sucking, chewing on it's thumb. :o The scan was just fabulous, I had no idea that you'd see so much facial detail on a 2D scan. We have to go back though as the little bugger wouldn't turn over to let the sonographer look at the spine even after going for a walk about, baby wasn't playing.

We did manage to discover however that we have a little girl to prepare for. :)

Congratulations :) I also have to go back for my anomaly after baby wouldn't play ball last week. Next scan is Wednesday next week. I hope she behaves better then! X

I also had to have my 20wk scan repeated for DC1 because he wouldn't move from under my belly button and they couldn't check his heart, little monkey then and still is now 4years on.
Congratulations on your daughter :)

Congratulations ! I had to go back last week for a repeat of my 20 week scan as the lazy little bu**er would not roll over from laying on its tummy ! Even after mummy pounding round the carpark, up and down the stairs and drinking tea ! Everything was fine with the 2nd scan, im now convinced it's a boy as it was so lazy ! Atleast you get to have another look at your girl :)

Aww, a girl in work who's also Pg had to repeat her 20 week scan so that they could check the spine. She's having a boy- they got a clear view of that! I felt a bit jealous about her getting to have another chance to have a look at her LO wriggling around inside, far outweighs any inconvenience of taking further time off work etc

The sonographer didn't tell the sex of ours- but we didn't ask either... (I'm 23w +3)

My experience was similar. As everyone, including me, predicted, it's a boy Grin. I had to lie on one side, then the other, then jump up and down 12 times to get the lazy LO to shift! I have to have another scan at 34w to see if the placenta has shifted upwards. Secretly I'm just pleased I'll have another look. Oh and you've got to love Kings Hospital - I got a 4d pic of his face for nada! Smile Good luck to all of you...

I had to roll onto my side so the sonographer could get a look at the face/ lips (checking for cleft palate) & we also got pics for free (paid £5 for 2 at the earlier scan). Sonographer had 'warned' us that the pics wouldn't be very good but I think they're great, kindof a top down view- you can see the left arm sticking out Smile

Thanks ladies. So pleased that everything else was okay. I think even a few days on I am still riding high from seeing what we saw. And yes, it is great that we get another sneaky peak next week. Thursday can't come soon enough. :) We've managed to come up with four names so far and I'm sure we'll think of more. Hope you are all well. x
