Hi Silly query really. .......

But I had a scan at 23 weeks and recieved pictures and one of my babies eyes were blatently open (I am having twins)... same again this scan at 25 weeks....

I read in one of the books that I had that they do not open until they are 26 weeks....

sonographer didnt even mention it, so why am I panicking ??..... just wondering if this is normal... x

more likely that you are seeing the retina being viewed through the eyelid that the eye itself. In our scan the retina was pointed out at 24 weeks. Just like you can see the spine and heart but they aren't external.

The eyelids are fused until about 24 weeks gestation and then they can open. Your baby may be developmentally ahead or they could have got your dates out by a few days?
