Hi i had this in my last pregnancy long story but basically my DD has cystic fibrosis so was very ill inside my tummy so there was a build up of water and ended up with this, ended up having a c section after waters broke at 35 weeks. my question is has anyone had this then gone on to have another baby and did it effect there pregnancy at all?
I have a consultant appointment next friday but just wanted to know if anyone else knew anything about it.
Thanks in advance.

A friend had this a few years ago - she had it quite badly and there was no obvious cause. She had to have an operation to repair damage to her abdominal muscles some time later. She went on to have a second child and there was no repeat of the condition.

HTH and good luck.

Thank you so much for your reply.
Do you know how they knew she had damage to her abdominal muscles?
I can feel that im finding this pregnancy harder and having more aches and pains, just so scared to go into prem labour again because of damage my DD done. This wait for the consultant is just taking forever.

re. damage to her abdominals muscles, iirc they seperated all the way down the front and she had to have them stitched back together again. I'm not sure how they knew it was that. I remember she was desperately trying to get into shape after having her baby and about 2 yrs later was still having trouble, then it was diagnosed.
The operation was quite painful I think.
