Hi,
I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant, and today discovered that I have not actually miscarried a week ago (which I presumed I had)...but instead the sac has seperated from the wall of the uterus, which then causes bleeding of varying severity.
I have been sent home to wait and see what happens. In some cases it reattaches and pregnancy is fine, in others it does not and the pregnancy stops developing and is miscarried.
I've never heard of this before and have googled and only really found stuff to do with pracental abruption which of course is much later stage.
In limbo at the moment. Had a moment of joy on seeing baby and heart beat on scan this morning, but trying not to be optimistic as i guess things could go wrong at any time...
xx

My neighbour had the same thing happen on holidays, she was about 10-12 weeks, she was in hospital for a couple of days to monitor (she bled a lot) and was told to rest but they said that as the baby got bigger the sac would reattach itself to the womb wall, she now has a healthy 16 month old and she didn't have any other complications during the pregnancy. I hope it works out ok for you! Let us know how it goes!
