Is this morning sickness?

Sounds like a silly question but when pg with dd, I had morning sickness ie I felt and was sick.

I am only just pregnant really but having the oddest time. I don't feel sick but my throat wants to be sick. Does that make any sense? I'll be quite happily walking dd to school or reading a book and suddenly my throat constricts and I start to gag/retch. It also does it if I look upwards ie stretch my neck or if somebody touches my throat. And the thought of certain foods and textures do it too. But I don't feel sick.

Is this something to do with morning sickness? It's most odd to stop walking along the road long enough to vomit in a bush and then carry on as normal.

I'm getting the same kind of thing like if I wore a polo neck then I would constantly wretch! uncooked meat is making me gag as well. Don't worry - I'm sure its just a reaction to wanting to be sick but not "feeling sick" in the tummy etc
:)

yeah I think its to do with the indigestion thing - I feel like I have something stuck in my lower throat, like I need to swallow hard or something. Chewing gum or peppermints helps me a bit as does drinking cold fizzy water.

Sounds exactly like morning sickness to me!! I recognise very well that 'gagging' feeling you're talking about!!

Morning sickness comes in many forms so try to feel glad you don't have hyperemesis!!

Hope you're otherwise feeling well!

Sounds like morning sickness to me! I'm currently in the throes of morning sickness and I have the exact same thing. Cleaning my teeth is very unpleasant at the moment as the foaming of the toothpaste and the brush in my mouth makes me gag. Yuck.

It's weird isn't it?

There's nothing there, nothing in my throat, no feeling, not indigestion or reflux. Just that the urge to vomit isn't coming from my stomach. But then it wouldn't would it? My stomach's not ill. It's like there a reflex going on all on its own.

It's odd and taking me by surprise.

I'd forgotten what a joy pregnancy is.

Grin

I'm also ravenous.

Yes brushing my teeth is the same! The foaming and the brush. I just gag throughout.

Yes - ravenous! Constantly hungry. And if I get too hungry, I become a mad woman. My DP jokes that every time he looks at me I am stuffing my face! He's never seen me eat so much.

I'm sorry, I can't hear you, too busy chewing.
