A lady on my train has just been feeding bubba who must only be a couple of months old. It really was lovely to see it (not that I was gawping the whole time) I already wanted to BF if I can but that REALLY made me hope I'm able to do it. Sorry, pointless post but it really did seem so lovely. :)

Ah no thats lovely Grin i too am hoping to bf but i'm afraid i'm not the most discreet of people anyway so i will probably be the one that everyone is staring at cos i will have inadvertently left a tit hanging outGrin

I wouldn't worry about it. I fed a year old ds on a packed commuter train. He was exhausted and hungry and was screaming his head off. A lovely young lad gave me his seat and I fed, noone as much as looked at me apart from the lad who looked at me and smiled.

Smile it is the yummyist thing isn't it?
I always go misty eyed at women bfing. Can't understand people getting funny about it, I was on the bus recently feeding mine, as you do and a teen with SN who seems to have befriended me started announcing that baby was having milk now, and everyone ignored her so she announced it again, some old dear, sucking lemons had sharp words and the teens face dropped. I thought really there are bigger things to get upset about. We ended up having a chat about her guineapig - how dull my life would be if I had a car Grin

Hurray!! I have to admit that depending on how harassed the mother looks, I might say something as I pass by along the lines of "Good for you" or similar and I always get a big relieved smile back. I've often fed mine on the train, and often when it's been seriously packed too - when they kick off it's the only way to keep them quiet after all.

sam26oscar I too will probably do something along the lines of leaving titty hanging out and wondering why it's feeling a bit drafty! :o

Sparklies I really wanted to say something and many even ask her for some advice :o Maybe the train wasn't quite the place for that though!!
