I'm posting this as I'm in need of reassurance more than anything. First of all a bit of background. I have 2 DS's 1 of whom has Down's Syndrome. I had a very shortlived shock pregnancy during the summer which ended in miscarriage unfortunately. DH & I decided that we couldn't go through that sort of thing again so we would just be happy with the 2 wonderful children we have. That said, I went back on the pill.

The other week DH & I were discussing things & he suggested that we try again in 6 months time or so as right now isn't a good time & we've been through an awful lot emotionally. However, my period was due on Mon & so far nothing has happened. The only time we have had "proper" sex during last month was on Sun evening so basically my question is is it possible to conceive a day before your period is due when you are on the pill? I also have to admit that I did take 3 pills at once during last month as I forgot Blush. Not on purpose I hasten to add.

Your thoughts please.

Hiya,

I have to say all the combined factors make it sound implausible that you would be pregnant, but of course hardly anything is impossible...

When I was on the pill I found I would sometimes be a couple of days late for no reason. I wouldn't get too worried until you miss your period altogether.

Hope the outcome is positive for you - whichever one that is :)

Forgot to say - for complete peace of mind you can take a test. If you're two days late they should be able to pick it up. Although if it's negative and your period hasn't come after a week I would repeat the test.
