I think John Lewis do v good quality clothes. If you are lucky, you might find some bargains in the sale (though not sure if it has ended). Their packs of vests, baby gros etc are pretty well priced. I found mothercare to be more expensive.

Online sale at 'little asos'- some very cute but not sickly sweet stuff. Also Peacocks online has a lovely baby section- also not too expensive. Enjoy shopping!Grin

if you're looking for nice things then definitely John Lewis.

If you're looking for cheap basics then I've always been impressed by asda.

Asda or Matalan

H&M are often pretty good for regular clothes as opposed to vests etc. Love the vests/sleepsuits from Next though :)

I'm always surprised at how cheap M&S are these days and the quality is OK too.

ChessyEvans · 19/01/2011 14:51

Yes I agree the supermarkets have some good stuff (I was surprised by sainsburys) and mothercare have a large range too. I'm going cheap and cheerful for all the early stuff given that they will be grown out of in weeks and probably wouldn't stay looking pretty too long with a newborn anyway...!

belgo · 19/01/2011 14:52

I really like H&M.

deemented · 19/01/2011 14:53

Honestly? I'd go to an NCT sale, stock up there, and use the money i save to go towards something else.

TheEvilDead2 · 19/01/2011 14:55

I second the NCT sale idea. ALso Ebay, it means you can get good quality clothes that have only been worn a handfull of times over a few months for pennies.

If you have money to spend and don't know the gender Bluezoo at Debenhams do really cute bright coloured (no naff ducks and bears) gender neutral clothes.

Ebay and the sales - next/gap generally offer good discounts in their sales but you need to get there early.
