hi jem.

I am 35 weeks today and have been feeling the same thing for a while now, sometimes it feels as if he's sticking his arm out of my cervix and having a poke at the birth canal... it's not painful, just weird.
The mw said that it was the baby's head putting pressure down in the cervix, she said it could just feel tingly or that if it was painful (for a moment only) the head could be catching a nerve somewhere against the pubic bone.

Hope somebody knowledgeable comes along and explains this better!

Just came on to ask the same- I'm 35 weeks! It sometimes feels like a very light and quick electric shock down there as well as the pressure!

How strange, Must say the pressure got worse in the night and I am now getting sharp period like pains ( i thinkthats the only way I can decribe them) every 15 mins or so and the last about 1-2 minutes....anybody else no anything?? x

That's a bit regular, I'd call the midwives just to check.

Yes, that's quite different to what I can feel. Given the regularity and length of each bout I'd call the MW just in case.

i have been having the same kinda pains but not regular, i am only 29 weeks tho x
