I think I am going to go totally insane tomorrow. My day will go something like this : 7am, get up and get dc up. between 7am-8am get 2 out of 3 dc's ready for school. 8am phone GP to book appointment as DS1 needs to go back again (was also seen today) as he has now had a tummy bug for what will be 6 days by tomorrow morning (he's 8yo and still can't keep water). 8.15am leave to take DS2 to school. 9am - Attend DS2's SATS meeting (he's in Y2, has sn so very very important that I go). During DS2's SATS meeting, DP will have to take DS1 to the GP appointment. I HAVE to be back from DS2's SATS meeting by 10.30am at the very very latest as DP has to leave for work, and can't leave DS1 home alone.

I then get to phone Ex-H and let him know what is going on with DS1, as he is meant to be picking up DS1 from school, Ex-H knows he's ill, but is expecting him to be over tummy bug, Ex-H already missed access this weekend just gone because DS1 was so ill, he's going to go nuts and blame it on me somehow that DS1 is still ill.

Then I have to go to the doctors for my A/N with the MW at 2.15pm, when she is meant to be giving me a sweep. I then have to rush off and pick DS2 up early from school and get him to the SN dentist at the hospital by 3.40pm for treatment - while probably having DS1 tagging along. I will also be leaving DD (12yo) home alone longer than usual because of the dental appointment, we probably won't get home until 4.30pm-ish at least as we have to rely on buses to get in between all these myriad appointments.

DP isn't due home from work until 8.30pm tomorrow night - and tomorrow I will be 40+3. Can anyone reassure me that I'm not going to end up a snivelling mess by the time I have to cook the dc's dinner at 6pm tomorrow night????

Shock Sad

Any chance the madwife could come to you later or Thursday instead? They ought to be flexible at 40wks plus

Am 37 weeks myself so have some idea how you feel

Aaaaaaaggggghhhhh!! On top of everything else I had to do, DS1 ended up on children's ward, he had viral gastritis and had to be on a drip overnight. He is thankfully better and discharged now, but it meant I had to turn down my sweep, so I'm still pregnant, 40+4 now.

Plus I had to attempt to sleep on one of those fold out beds that feel like a slab of cement. I feel soooo well rested. Hmm.

I now won't get a sweep until I see the consultant on Monday when I'll be 41+1. And they'll book an induction date as well.

Humpf!

Poor you! You really should get ex-H to take the lead on looking after DS1 though, taking him to appointments, taking time off to look after him - what if he needs you and you're in labour? What if you'd gone into labour when you were having the sweep? Delegate now!
