Feeling movements low down

Am 31 weeks at the moment and although midwife thought baby was head down from an initial feel, she was concerned that I was feeling most movements low down/middle (below belly button level) and started wondering whether the top of my baby that she could feel felt more like head than bum after all... I know there's good time for the baby to turn yet if it is breech at the moment (although it's stayed in the same position for the last month or so so I think it's running out of room!) but am just curious really - has anyone felt movements mostly low down but had a head down baby?

hi am 30 weeks today and the most movements i get are down below and this has been the same since 18weeks hes hasnt turned hes been head down all the time lol

Thanks - anyone else been in a similar position not knowing which way up the baby is?

I too am 31 weeks.

I have some low down movements which are quite gentle. I also get thuds and pointy bits on right ride of belly and quite high up. I have been told baby is head down. So, I assume low movements are hands and the thuds are feet/knees.

I did have a low placenta but that has moved.

I'm 31 weeks and have a lot of low down movements and across my belly button, but not higher than that. I've certainly had no kicks in the ribs. However, the midwife hasn't even attempted to tell me what she thinks baby's position is as she says it's too early to concern ourselves with it and if she tells me it is currently breech I'll start panicking :)

Might be worth asking about position of placenta.

Thanks - AllBelly, that's the problem with me, I am panicking now . Partly because the baby seems very comfortable where it is now and hasn't ever changed position as long as I've been able to feel the hard lump at the top that is either head or bottom... sh77, the placenta is anterior and high up.
