anyone help?

my af is 16 days late. i have done tests and been -ve. i did a test this morning with first wee and got a very faint line. but then i did another 4 hours later but no line at all. has anyone had this before and been pregnant? should i test again tomorrow with first wee? TIA

Boots was doing buy one get one free on clear blue dbl packs. Ok it's still like £12 for 4 but I still brought 12 :) and it came up posative on number 11!!!

Zhu i'm sorry, maybe you have had a chemical pregnancy i think it is?? I believe you probably were pg as to have that many positive results on several tests however faint, is a little too much of a coincidence. I hope i haven't upset you but thats just my opinion.

thanks sam26oscar i thought a chemical pregnancy was only if you got a positive just before or really soon after period was due but my period was 20 days late. i dont know?

Does your period seem heavier than normal?? Do you have more pain than ususal? I'm just a bit confused as you DID have a positive result however faint and to be fair it was on more than one test!! Maybe go to dr on monday and explain to him??? He maybe able to do blood test to see if you were pg?? Also if you not as heavy/painful could still be pg but just having a bleed??

its not heavier or more painful.its also not lighter or less painful. it feels like a normal period. im also confused. i think i will go to the doctor and see what they say.

i think that may be wise, they may be able to at least tell you if your hormone levels are raised or not. Good luck and keep us posted as to what the dr say. If you are ttc for next month good luck Grin

Zhu I am not sure about your dates, but there's a chance that it could be implantation bleeding? Really don't want to try and get your hopes up, as I am sure you're already in a pickle, but if you did get a +ve then it's a possibility.

Best of luck either way. Even if it wasn't meant to be this time, hopefully it'll all be OK soon. x

thanks LittleMilla my dates are my last period was 6th december was due again 2nd january but nothing until today. so dont think it is implantation bleeding.

Zhu, you said that some tests came positive after 5-6 minutes. I think they say that you shouldn't wait for that long, although my tests never change after the first minute whether they were positive or negative. I had also thought that you were pregnant. Maybe next month!!

thanks ninani the tests i used said to start reading after 3 mins up to 10 mins. but not read after 10 mins so 5/6 mins was in the time frame.

even though im still on my period i tested again this morning and a definate darker than before line came up after 2 mins. i have no idea whats going on so i am going to go to the doctors tomorrow and see what they say.

My friend had bleeding like a period at around 6 weeks pregnant, which might be about where you are now and she is now 26 weeks pregnant.

On the other hand (I don't want to be the voice of doom, so sorry) but when I had an early miscarriage my BFP was about a week late and although got a little darker it was always very faint. An early scan showed the pregnancy probably wasn't progressing well and then I started bleeding at 8 weeks. So it's also possible you have had something similar.

I hoep the doctor can give you some answers, they might refer you to the EPU.

thank you midori1999 its horrible just not knowing. i would of gone to the doctors today but dd2 will be at playgroup tomorrow so i wont have to bring her with me.

i did another test this morning and got a line in about 2 mins.
i then went to the doctor and she said that it looks like i have had an early miscarriage. she said to go back if i have heavy bleeding,pain. i feel so Sad. she said dont worry it doesnt mean you cant get pregnant again. but i wanted this pregnancy.

i had a similar experience was about 8 days late and had taken a few tests all negative, then took another one and the faintest line ever came up did another one a few hours later and nothing came up redid it next morning and a faint lne came up agen then decided to get one that either sed Pregnant or not pregnant to know for sure i am now 23 weeks pg :)

Zhu ahh sweets am sorry about that. Not what you want to hear but at least you have got an answer now Sad. I had early m /c in April and was pg again within 5 weeks, and am currently 35 weeks so fingers crossed you will have the same luck. Lots of good luck hugs x

yeah its good to have an answer and i know it was early but i just feel so,so sad.
i think part of it is cause the doctor was quite dismissive.
i feel like i dont have a right to be sad cause it was early.

Nasty Dr Angry mine was wonderful but pragmatic. you have EVERY right to be sad it was still your baby no matter how early it was.

thanks yes hopefully will be back soon with a BFP. i am scared though in case it takes a long time and the monthly dread of waiting for af to arrive or not.
