38 +3 - baby movements

Due to have a CS this week.
I've noticed over the last couple of days that the baby is a bit quieter. It's moving plenty, and definitely does at least 10 sets of movements in a day. It just seems quieter than usual.
Is this normal?

I think so. Mine has certainly changed his pattern recently although there are still lots of movements they're more like fidgets than full on punches and kicks. MW said it's because he's run out of room to do much, but as long as there's plenty of movement it's ok. (I'm 38+6)

Just saw my m/w today (I'm 37 +3) and she said that babies often slow down when they're literally just about to come out. As long as you can still feel it then it should be nothing to worry about, but you're perfectly justified to ring your m/w and get her to check if you're worried at all. Mine's showing no signs of slowing - he's got a pretty hefty kick on him these days.... Good luck!

I have the same concern (37+3). MW said that as long as I feel 10 separate movements each day, it's ok, and that movements may well feel more muffled. Can't wait to have baby and stop stressing...
