Owwwww - I think I've pulled a bump muscle...

Or torn it even! I'm constantly really allergic & sneeze all the time. Something seems to have finally 'gone' and now I have a very painful area on my bump (very stretched at 34 weeks) which is excruciating when I sneeze - which I can't stop doing!

It's getting worse, as it doesn't get a chance to heal.

My question is, though, is there any point going to the doctor with this, or is there really nothing they can do, as I suspect?

Thanks! (ow!)

Is it the area from the front of your hip bone round and underneath the front of your bump? If so I too pulled that when I slipped over last week.

A visit to A&E later (antenatal insisted) I was told 'rest'. Hmmmmm. However, I visited a maternity physio as I also pulled my back badly and the stretch she gave me for the back problem and the superbly unsexy SIJ maternity belt she recommended for my SPD have really helped!

Hello Cyclebump. Thanks for your reply. It's just to the right of my belly button - a random painful patch just from the constant sneezing, I think. I've sneezed loads today & it hurts!

I've got a midwife visit on Weds - might mention it then.

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties too - good luck!

I'd mention it at the appointment as it might be that the bump weight is making it worse. Ah pregnancy, it's all glamour!

I do feel GORGEOUS waddling round clutching my bump & moaning! Wink
