Last night I dreamt my unborn baby was a pizza...

... no really! Confused
I opened the oven door to check on the baby (pizza) - I was surprised to see that there were no toppings on it - it was only the bready pizza base and it had no face.
I called to my hubby who told me to turn it over to see if I could see the face as ..."we are only 16 weeks pregnant and therefore why would it have toppings."
I turned the bread base over and there were two eyebrows, two eyes and a mouth which when I touched it did an Elvis type lip curl. I was really worried that it had no nose so my hubby told me to put it back in the oven until it was properly cooked.
Dream over...
I know that weird dreams are normal when pregnant but i just wondered if anyone could beat this ;-)

PMSL that's hilarious! I once dreamt that DD came out as an orangutan and I ended up with a pet monkey not the baby!

Scouseem · 16/01/2011 16:51

I've had a few dreams about my baby climbing into a oven haha. Maybe its the whole bun in a oven saying lol.

mamaloco · 16/01/2011 16:53
Grin I dreamt of DD2's birth. It went well, but then the midwife looked a bit [shocked]. It was a boy with an elephant's head. When I took it in my arms, I just smiled and said "no problem we will call him Ganesh" Grin Confused

I dreamt I was pregnant with an enormous baked potatoe. the pizza sounds more appetizing though!

WorzselMummage · 16/01/2011 16:55
Grin

I had a dream I gave birth to a litter of black Labrador puppies..

I think you beat me by a looong way!

kampakat · 16/01/2011 16:57

coconuts - an orangutan must be hell when trying to put on a nappy! Grin
scouseem...yup - I figured it was something to do with having a bun in the oven too! Smile
Also we had an upside down pudding last night so i think that was where the turning it over came from...
The no nose ... I think its probably something to do with the NT scan and nasal bone....
I know my dreams are all based on some logic somewhere ....but boy was this one weird - and so vivid!!!!

cosmicdancer · 16/01/2011 18:37

When pregnant, I dreamed I gave birth to a woodlouse.

jenga079 · 16/01/2011 20:30

Hahahahah! I am so glad to find this post. I've been waking up most mornings to find my bedroom strewn with pillows I've thrown about in the night during some CRAZY dreams. My colleagues are now greeting me each morning with 'so, what happened in last night's dream?' None have been as funny as the pizza one though.

kampakat · 16/01/2011 21:08

Jenga - I can't usually share my dreams with my colleagues - they'd be disgusted at what goes on in my head Shock I didn't realise I had such a filthy mind Grin
My poor hubby is suffering though, I have woken up twice this week really pissed off with him...and told him so...
I think the pizza dream was a relief for him I just woke up confused rather than grumpy!

I also gave birth to a litter of puppies! Must be more 'normal' than I thought.

(I was delighted Wink0

StarExpat · 16/01/2011 21:19

I dreamt that I gave birth to a puppy (the breed of puppy that my dh has mentioned that he would like). Well, puppy was delivered and I was struck with pangs of guilt that I hadn't gotten what I wanted (a baby) but trying to feel grateful and happy that I had managed to grow a puppy.

I didn't want any of the MW's to think I was ungrateful, so I just held the puppy while DH danced around the room telling me how much he loved me and I had made him the happiest man in the world Hmm.

It was so lifelike. I woke up and was in floods tears Blush asking Dh if he would love a baby as much as a puppy! He was Confused and Hmm

Even thinking about this dream I still feel a bit strange - I worried the whole time that this meant that I might not love the baby when he was born or not be happy/be disappointed.

Grin Now I realise I was worried about DH accepting the baby (which he has, wholeheartedly, and I fell in love at first sight, too :) ).

blondepinhead · 16/01/2011 21:23

When I was pregnant I dreamed I gave birth to a baby-sized live prawn. The midwife said "what a pretty baby" and I looked at it's beady black eyes and wavy tentacles/legs and started crying. Woke up crying too.

Made my DH laugh so hard that for the rest of my pregnancy the baby was known as "the prawn".

Hk13 · 16/01/2011 22:38

With my previous pregnancy I dreamt that I had given birth to an orangutan too, I can remember trying to bf it but it kept smiling at me with big yellow teeth lol. no dreams with this one but give it time, I'm only 9wks! Smile.

Good luck with your pregnancies everyone xxx

trixymalixy · 16/01/2011 22:41

I dreamed that my baby was in an egg and I had to carry the egg around for 9 months. Of course in the dream I dropped it and it smashed everywhere!! I woke up crying, was horrible.

CuddlyNotFat · 16/01/2011 22:44

I dreamt that DD2 was born as a 6 year old coal miner with a mop of jet black hair! When I informed this little chap complete with pickaxe and hard hat (Ouch!)that I didn't really want him, I'd wanted a baby, he looked at me and said "Well no, of course not, I'm a miner, not a baby..."

It still freaks me out now, tbh and DD is 6!

toddlerama · 16/01/2011 22:49

I dreamed that I gave birth to a greasy duck. Like a duck that had been involved in an oil spill. The midwife tried to take it away and said there had been a mistake, but I started crying because I wanted my duck-baby. So they let me keep it but wouldn't give me a towel to clean it. Bastards.

nevergoogledragonbutter · 16/01/2011 22:49

When i was pregnant with DS1, I dreamt that my I was so scatterbrained that I cooked the baby, then had to become parent to a leg of lamb that had a face.
I worried about bonding with my leg of lamb, but hoped no-one would realise what a terrible parent I was to have eaten it.
Oh the anxiety.

jenga079 · 16/01/2011 23:07

Oh no. Now you've all made me cry (see earlier thread about bizarre pregnancy hormones!) So funny! Glad it's not just me having the weird dreams.

WorzselMummage · 16/01/2011 23:31

Oh I love these Grin

GeekLove · 16/01/2011 23:38

I dreamt once that my baby wasn't just moving around my bump but was actually trying to see how Radnor would stretch.'i remember looking down and seeing a babies arm up to the elbow protruding -'its detail visible through the bump.
And once the babies face as it pushed up hard on the inside.

GeekLove · 16/01/2011 23:40

WTF Radnor?! I meant how far! Silly iPhone and predictive text!

shinygiraffe · 17/01/2011 09:29

I dreamt a few weeks ago that I was at my mum and dads house with all my family and we decided to get the baby out quickly to see how it looked! (I was only about 18 weeks pg at the time) It was a perfect little girl with thick black hair and was cooing and smiling. We were all remarking on how it was going to be born with a full set of teeth! When we were looking at it tho it was in a cage like an old fashioned dome shaped bird cage! I was worrying and saying, its not supposed to be out yet, how am I going to swallow that back down now!

Im having weird sometimes scary dreams every night, we have obviously got lots on our minds at the moment, very understandably.

Pinetreeland · 17/01/2011 10:05

I dreamt that my kicky baby burst out of my belly instead of going down the normal route. I was even thinking in my dream - that's pretty good - it's like having an emergency c-section without the contraction - now I just need to go to the hospital to sew my belly up.
