Hi,i am 37wks with 5th baby and have measured big all the way thru,i am now measuirng 45cms and mw didnt seem worried as consultant saw me at 33 and knew i was big.
I am booked for a section on the 27th so no worries re birth but i am a little concerned about the effect on my poor body of being this big.I can hardly move, sleep or breath and my ribs are being pushed out and its agony.Surely the body isnt ever meant to be the equivalent of 45wks pg Shock
Has anyone else experienced this.

Grin Thanks! Can't really see what the problem is really - the baby will be as big as it is - not a lot I can do about it now. My last scan at 36 weeks had it estimated at around 6lbs 9oz which freaked me out a little as DD was only 6lb 10oz at 40+6 but this one's been fairly regularly measuring on the 50th centile so 'average' I guess and I've had more scans this time due to the fibroids and an early low-lying placenta. No-one's mentioned GD to me either ledkr and I've not been tested either - but all my wees have been clear too.

mejon my scan at 34 weeks estimated 6lb 9 too! How funny! And ledkr was a oz or two less a week later. Funny how we are all hovering around that mark!

Very odd. I'm hoping that the fact I'm small (well, short rather than overall petite), DH is small and both sets of parents are too means they're completely wrong and I shall have a lovely... maybe 7lb-er. Guess we'll know pretty soon. Best of luck to everyone!
