Period pains

I'm 39 weeks and have been getting period pains plus stabbing pains in my cervix for the last few days. Baby seems not to be moving as much today. Should I be worried or is this normal? I don't want to be a neurotic first timer.

I had 'period pains' in the early stages of labour. I'd call your midwife to check it out.

Yes, don't worry, could be everything getting ready. Early labour can feel like period pains, contact mw, rest if you can. Good luck!
