Progesterone suppositries.. Anyone else taking them?

I am taking them due to having had five m/c.
Am now on p/g 6.
I appear to get a thickish white discharge in the morning, this tends to go clearer during the day. It is not lots just on wiping and then only sometimes.
I am right in understanding that the progesterone is inserted in order to help keep the cervix shut?
This stuff is all a bit confusing for me.

Any help would be appreciated

I took progesterone in pregnancy following a m/c. Itt is a naturally occuring hormone; the levels increase during pg and low progesterone levels are thought to be a contributing factor in some miscarriages. The white discharge is normal. I stopped progesterone supps at 12 weeksish as the placental hormones then took over.

Hope this helps.

Wishing you all the best.

Thanks that makes me feel a bit better.
I have read that some women take it 3 times a day. How many times a day were u using it? I only use the once just b 4 bed. I also inject heparin and take baby aspirin.

I also had 2 m/c and was told by the Dr I will definetly need suppostories to bust up my hormones with a next pg.

It will be helpful if i gather now all the information that I might need in regard to suppostories. What is the common suppostories brand most people take and at what dosage? Will i be prescribed with any other form of tablet? I'm a PCOSer and currently on Metformin which was told will continue even when pg.

Any information will be appreciable.

Peepee good luck with the PG and hope that the suppostories will be helpful this time. I have heard loads of positive news on suppostories.

Keysha,

I only take one (cylogest). I take it a night b 4 bed. I also take 75mg aspirin and a jab of heparin every day. I am on all of this because I have had 5 m/c in just over a year.
I have had all sorts of tests done and they cld only find that my blood was slighty sticky.

Good luck with your treatment.
