They are covered in blue veins and feel itchy inside.

I haven't been pregnant for donkey's years so have no idea if this is normal.

I have no idea when I am due on (period every 4-6 weeks, and it is so light normally it only last half a day, is blibnk and you will miss it) and had my last period in middle of December I think.

This will teach me for having the regular 'don't you bloody get pregnant' chat with dd yesterday during One Born Every Minute.

I know I should get a test but gawd knows if it is too early or not, plus it is pissing down and I can't be arsed to go to the shops.

Come on! Are you or not?

GetOrfMoiLand · 12/01/2011 13:18

Well, I am not convinced that it will show anything, I have got a long cycle (smetimes 6 weeks) so doesn't that mean ....

I am a bit scared as well to be honest.

God I am one of those annoying tantalising bastards now, eaking out all the attention [blish] Grin

Smile though at bootees. I remember buying knitted matinee jackets for dd from the old ladies on the WI stall in Barnstaple Pannier market. I have none of those left, I put them in my mum's loft and she binned them when she moved Angry

STOP TALKING TO ME ABOUT BABY CLOTHES AND MAKING IT WORSE!

FFS, will you just do the test? Why don't you ask your DD to pick you up one on her way home from school...?

BaronessOrczy · 12/01/2011 13:19

Of popcorn. OF.

nickelbabysnatcher · 12/01/2011 13:19

HAAAA! at ringing dd 'can you just pop into Boots and pick me up a pregnancy test'

I can hear her shriek now!

OOOH I was in Waitrose at Christmas and they had loads of really nice baby grows.

Bloody hell know, I was holding my nephew and I felt like i had never held a baby in my life. And when he started crying I thought 'fuck!' and handed him back to his mum pronto.

I'm not cut out for all this baby lark.

WanderingSheep · 12/01/2011 13:24

Come on, put me us out of my our misery! Grin

GetOrfMoiLand · 12/01/2011 13:25

nickelbabysnatcher · 12/01/2011 13:26

now i'm weeping, thanks Abs .

Do you think anyone would mind if i stole the second baby?

AbsofCroissant · 12/01/2011 13:27

Because, I am hoping to have children one day, and reading a Guardian article on birth injuries nearly put me off children for life. And possibly even sex. So you know, I'm focusing on the positives and thought I'd share Grin

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 12/01/2011 13:27

I am crap at namechanging. Utterly rubbish. I'm sure half the town knows who I am.

Grin at getting GOML's dd to pick up a test!

Although I bet the school nurse has some. And they'll be free... Grin

TrillianAstra · 12/01/2011 13:29

When is your one day Abs? Mine is not for ages I think, those booties do nothing for me.

GetOrfMoiLand · 12/01/2011 13:29

Actually, I read on the OBEM thread that they give you morphine in labour now (they didn't 15 years ago).

morphine

I remember having an op on my nose years ago, and I got up and wondered round the ward like a blissed out stoner at woodstock.

Bliss.

Is worth labour just to get a shot of that, i reckon. Grin

Plenty of opiates in epidurals, iirc. Lovely stuff.

That second baby looks just like my dd did ... am not allowed to get broody again ... not allowed ...

GetOrfMoiLand · 12/01/2011 13:33

I had just gas the last time.

It was useless. Just gave me something to chew on.

My community midwife told me all sorts of nightmare stories re pethidine.
