They are covered in blue veins and feel itchy inside.

I haven't been pregnant for donkey's years so have no idea if this is normal.

I have no idea when I am due on (period every 4-6 weeks, and it is so light normally it only last half a day, is blibnk and you will miss it) and had my last period in middle of December I think.

This will teach me for having the regular 'don't you bloody get pregnant' chat with dd yesterday during One Born Every Minute.

I know I should get a test but gawd knows if it is too early or not, plus it is pissing down and I can't be arsed to go to the shops.

WanderingSheep · 13/01/2011 09:31

Grin at all these messages! GOML is under such pressure, bless her!

ohnanaWHATSMYNAMEohnana · 13/01/2011 09:34

come on!!!

eaglewings · 13/01/2011 09:34

Bought 4 tests for under £8 at Superdrug yesterday - do you think they sell them so cheep for those of us who can't POAS straight?

The woman who served me looked suprised, but maybe beacuse I'm older than you GoML by about 10 years

GetOrfMoiLand · 13/01/2011 09:34

I haven't done it - I am buying one (from fucking TESCO) on the way home and I will do it tonight, live, on mumsnet Grin

I pissed this morning bearing in mind your top tips about strong morning wee. Mind you i couldn't find anything - I didn't want to do it in a cup or anything I might use to drink out of (ick) and I debated whether to use ramekins but thought I wouldn't want to eat creme brulee out of pissy ramekins in future, so I improvised and pissed in a lenor lid Smile

I then had to hide it away from blundering ill DP who would probably mistake it for Benylin/Jack Daniels/apple juice so covered it in cling film (why?) and put in in the cupboard below the sink.

I am not attention seeking honest Grin. I know I am a sap to want to do the test with DP there but really want to.

Mind you, had a surreal conversation with DP about piss last night. He interrogated asked me how I knew I POAS for exaclty 5 minutes. I looked Hmm and said 'I watched'. he said 'there is no way you can see yourself pee'. I am wondering where DP thinks womens urethras are, a tube at the base of their spine.

Anyway, we did talk long into the night and he says he hopes I am pregnant. i said about the reasons why we said no, he said none of them really matter, we are financially fine, loads of people have babies and build a house at the same time Hmm, DD would love it, and wouldn't it be lovely to have a baby. So is all exciting and am hoping I am pregnant now Smile

OK, so you're not testing til this evening.

The question is: do you want to be pregnant?

It rather sounds like your DP does (want you to be pregnant, not want to be personally up the duff :))

Bumperlicious · 13/01/2011 09:37

Awww, I hope you are too! I hope even more that your dh finds the pee and tries to gargle with it Grin

x-posts - Yay!

AbsofCroissant · 13/01/2011 09:39

Yeah, was wondering about the five minute thing. Read it thinking "respect".

So, could you give an approximate time for this POAS? Could you set up a special thread for people to watch? I'm busy from about 7:30, but should be able to check back in about 9:30.

TIA

FanellaFidge · 13/01/2011 09:39

Aw! Have just read (most of) this thread.

Hope you are GOML... if your not do you think you might start trying?

BackOnceAgain · 13/01/2011 09:40

Awww that has brought a tear to my eye. Good luck GOML

(PS There are 18 years between me and dsis and we get along great)

expatinscotland · 13/01/2011 09:42

Fingers crossed!

Misdee just had a Facebook labour last week! Here's to a live POAS MN thread.

I think I do want a baby with my emotional head, especially since seeing my baby nephew who was born late November. I remember holding him in the hospital, he was beauitiful, and i held him and cried like a wuss.

It would also be LOVELY to have a baby and have a happy pregnancy. Having a baby at 17 is not ideal, it's not really good news, everyone judges and comments, you rather think you are having a baby under sufference. I am also scared at the thought, DD's father buggered off when she was 3 months old, he didn't want fatherhood, so DD's early babyhood was so scary and lonely. I would be terrified of that happening again.

Sp it would be lovely to have a baby which was really wanted by both me and DP, and also to have one in my 30s when I have money, a decent house, have got a lot more sense than when I was 17 etc.

I am worried about money - like I said DP is self employed and is a builder, so is not ideal, however things are picking up now. The last 2 years have been awful though with the recession. But I would probablu go back to work FT or 4 days a week (DP said he would take a day off in week and work on Saturday) so childcare won't be too much of an issue.

GOD I have thought of nothing else for 2 d ays!

Getorf, you've got to think, "what would Jilly do?"

Grin
WanderingSheep · 13/01/2011 09:44

If you're not pregnant then will you be ttc? And then we can all do this again next month - yay!

(I'm nearly at the end of a pregnancy that will be my last, so will never have the excitement of POAS again (although I will have to PIAP - pee in a pot later for MW Hmm ) so I will have to live through the excitement of others!)

eaglewings · 13/01/2011 09:45

Sounds like you need to film it and post on Utube so the hundreds of MNers can watch, all those who want to relive the moment the result appears.

I was impressed by the 5 minutes, but see you are human after all Grin

GetOrfMoiLand · 13/01/2011 09:45

Thank you everyone, you have been so kind (apart from those who are calling me OLD and smelling of PISS)
