Im not working at the moment and have been out of work for about 7 months (I found out I was preggers just after I was laid off) I have been looking for jobs but no one wants a preggers woman I have always worked until then. I had my DS and went back after 3 months but cant rembmer having back ache as bad as this the last time! But the last time I was pregnant I disslocated my knee and that was very painful so I dont know if the pain of the knee distracted me from the pain of my back. I also did wonder if its because I dont go to work and Im not maybe doing as much? I keep my self very busy and have a 5yr old to look after my dad is mentaly ill and I have a dog I like to take her out but sometimes the back hurts soo much I can stand up and strech and then it hurts. Its getting me down. I do all the housework washing, hoovering, dusting, dishes, meals, shopping you get the picture I have no family support as I have moved away for DP's job. So I always have to drop and pick my son up from school. I just wondered if anyone else struggles and is back ache an issue for anyone else?

Hi scruffy, I am sorry about your job situation and about your back pain. I am sending you a link to a few useful excercises you can go in the comfort of your home:

also, if you ever get tired, just lie down flat (up until 30 wks if feel ok) and put your legs straight up the wall.

hope you feel better.
