I am just asking this on behalf of a friend. She had a baby in September and her second is due in August, 11 months after the first.

SHe had an emergency CS with dc1 and was pg within 8 weeks of the birth.

What are her raised risks with such a small gap between babies?

There is a risk of rupture as the scar is not healed yet. especially the internal one. It must hurts! I had pain for my first 5/10 periods (2 CS) I can imagine the pain of a stretching uterus on my scars.
She also have a bigger risk of bleeding after the birth.

Forgot to mention, she definitely needs to talk to her GP soon, as she will probably be considered high risk.

Interesting. Thanks!

Does anyone know how MUCH the risk is increased?
