Hi All,

Looking for a bit of advice really. I'm 18 weeks and have always had a dull period pain like ache from when I concieved... this is my first pg and the last few days the pains in my lower abdomin have gotten stronger and are really painful when I empty my bowels.. The strange feeling is also underneath and I sometimes have those weird shooting pains up my vagina and anus just like mentrual pains. I have started urinating loads again which eased off at 13 wks but is now back with a vengence.

I've had hardly any time with any specialists due to my first midwife apt rushing and doing everything wrong even sending me to the wrong hospital... so at 18wks I am having my first real midwife apt this week (friday).

Sorry if its graphic girls but since its stronger today I just thought I would seek a bit of advice to reassure me before going any further

It could be a varity of things. I've had some similar sensations to you so my suggestions would be that it could be
could be Braxton Hicks, your ligaments streaching, or even piles. all of which are really normal.

do have a chat with your midwife or if you are conserned book an appointment with you GP. they are more then happy to see you.
