clear blue fake or fact?????

hi i went for a ealy pregnancy scan today and the doctors say im 6 weeks pregnant but they couldn see anything in the uterus! i took a clearblue digital last saturday and it said im 1-2 weeks and took another today and still it said 1-2 weeks . had to have scan today because i had key hole surgery on thursday night so they had to check everything was ok!im just worried sick that the baby may be harmed!!!! .......PLEASE HELP!!!! XXXX

when i had my op they said they couldse baby and my uterus looked healthy for the gest i was!.....i havent had any bleeding or cramps and still having terrible morning sickness....i suppose the clear blue tells u when conception was right?? so if i took one last saturday and it said i was 1-2 weeks and today still said i was 1-2 weeks maybe i was only one week after conception and today am 2 weeks into conception!.......OMG im driving myself mad........xxxx

I did a clearblue digital test recently and remember thinking that the "how many weeks pg are you" bit could be inaccurate when I read the stats on the instruction sheet.

Have thrown the instructions away so can't say what the stats are I'm afraid!

I think you are right, you might have concieved 1 week before the first test which would be 2 weeks before the 2nd test, hence the same result.

FWIW I did 2 tests, in 2 days - 1 said I conceived 1-2 weeks ago and the next day it said 2-3 weeks!

If you are worried you could always test in another week to reassure yourself? But the fcat the scan showed a baby is way more acurate than any PG test

thanks for replying mitletoad.......im just driving myself crazy here and thinking the worst im waiting for the doctors to ring me at 8 tonight as my hcg lvls in hospital befor my opt on thursday were 269 and today they said they should have tripled if my pregnancy is still ongoing but it seems like days that im waiting!!!...........i just need some reasurence i think about the clear blue! thanks anyways sweetie xxxx

If your levels were 269, I think it's unlikely they'll be able to see the baby via ultrasound yet. I think once you get to about 1000-2000 that things become more visible; gestational sac at least should be seen.

So for now, hcg bloods drawn every two days will let you know that things are progressing nicely

As for the conception indicator on clearblue, yes, there is margin for error... but it would seem that you got your positive when three weeks pregnant (or about a week after conception) and the re-test would've been when you were about 4 weeks (or two weeks after conception).

I hope everything works out for you, it sounds like everything is ok for now if you're not bleeding or experiencing any pain

Mine said 2-3 weeks when I was 5 weeks by dates, so i think it discounts first 2 weeks :)

If you read the back of the box it says it dates from conception. So if it says 2-3 weeks a doctor will say 5 weeks. It really it quite clearly shown on the table on the back of the box.

FWIW mine was spot on. It said 2-3 weeks so 5 weeks pregnant, I went to the MW and she dated it the same from my last period and then the dating scan agreed. Since then every check up at the MW has measured right for my dates.

i am 6wks+3 and woke early this morning for the loo wiped and noticed i was bleeding red blood as the day has progressed its turned to brown blood and hardly noticable doctors said its old blood could thi be from my op on thursday from ruptured cysts??? have been to early pregnancy clinic today still cant see anything on the vag scan priro to a scan on sunday aswel!....have had my hormone lvls taken every 48 hrs.....had key hole surgery on thursday my hcg lvls were 265 then and on sunday were 679 which doctor said is normal have to wait till 7 o clock tonite to find out my hcg lvls again and they should be in the region of 1200.....can anyone please reasure me that this is ok and not the early start of mc???
