I'm now five months in and for the first time feeling properly pregnant - with my bump growing massively, irregular sensations that must be movements, I'm also starting to feel a bit less capable on going back to work after Christmas.

I've been convinced during my 12wk scan and mw visits that it's happening, but in between, getting somewhat detached. Did anyone else take this long, or longer, to really properly convince themselves, and others, that they're not imagining it all?

That is a completely normal feeling - guess that is why most of us have to wait 9 months! :)

I didnt feel properly pregnant till around 29 weeks!!

sure I had movements from 23 weeks onwards but they just felt like indigestion rather than a baby!

I also felt the same as you after christmas I actually felt like I couldnt contemplate going back to work and continuing my usual duties as it felt so heavy.

Im now 31+3 and this is a very very wriggly baby!! the movements are so frequent and often and it does make me feel extremely nervous now! but I still feel like trapped wind may be the reason and that someone has just told me Ill have an inflated stomach for 9 months.

I find it hard to believe I am getting somethnig at the end of this that will become my life!!

good luck in your pregnancy.
