Very little!
I took my maternity notes and wee sample.
She took my blood pressure and tested my wee, and that was it. 5 minutes!
In some areas they listen to the heartbeat, but here (leicestershire) they don't until a bit later on.

as cookingfat has said plus you usually get the results of your booking blood tests.

My second appointment was at 17 weeks. I had to take a urine sample, and the midwife felt how big my bump was growing and listened for the heartbeak. It was also the appointment where I could have had some more screening tests, but we decided not to have them. I live in Edinburgh.

Read maternity notes, tested wee, looked at blood results from booking apt and took further blood as problem showed in results- advised on what to do if further testing still showed a problem, discussed result of nuchal scan, listened to heartbeat, took blood pressure.
The apt was quite rushed so if you have any questions, write them down so you can wizz through them.
One thing I was grateful for is that she didnt weigh me!!!

I had my second appointment on Friday (also in Edinburgh emmah!). She tested my wee and BP, gave me the results of blood tests, had a chat with me about the Downs/Spina Bifida screening (which we decided not to have) and listened to the heartbeat, which was lovely. I asked her a couple of questions and that was it. I was in about 20-25 minutes.
