Whenever you like.
I think you've either got skin likely to mark or not. A bit like, you've either got good hair or not regardless of what shampoo you use.

I beagn using mine at start of 2nd tri. Oil won't prevent them as stretch marks depend on elasticity of your collagen. It's genetic, I'm afraid.

I started at 12 weeks and use the Mama Mio Tummy Rub oil. It's nice but pricey. 18 weeks and no stretchies yet, although I hear that they're more common in the last tri. My mum has terrible stretchmarks so I am not entirely convinced I will get away unscathed.

I've been using cream since I found out I was pregnant, am now 30 weeks and no stretch marks yet. I don't like oils, feel sticky 4 ages with them, so I've got this it wasn't cheap but still only halfway through first tub, using it daily between boobs and knees, my cellulite looks better too! Only downside is it smells like baby powder which I'll probably smell enough of once he's born, so I use it at night now not in the mornings xxx

I think it simply depends on your skin type & how quick/big your bump grows. With DD1 I never got any strentchmarks & with DD2 my 1st one appeared at 4 days overdue (she was a lot bigger than DD1). I used Bio-oil both times.

You should definitely start using a cream on your growing bump, regardless of whether it will help with stretchmarks or not. It's always good to take care of your skin, especially during pregnancy. Good-luck! And enjoy the pampering! Smile

As early as you can.

I honestly don't believe it prevents stretchmarks (well, actually - medically speaking, I know it doesn't) but it is soothing and will keep you nicely moisturised and relaxed.
