flu jab?

Does anyone know if it makes a difference when you have the flu jab? The midwife said she recommended to have it and to book myself in at the surgery. I will be 7 weeks when they do it - is this too early? Should I wait longer?

I have heard varying advice about this. There was a Dr interviewed on BBC (can't remember the organisation but they were responsible for this years FLU campaign) who said there all pregnant women no matter their stage, should go and get the jab, but then immediately after that the BBC TV Dr said women should wait till the 12 weeks are up. So the Drs themselves seem to disagree.

I think you'll just have to weigh the risks up for yourself and decide. My choice would be to go ahead and have it.

I would wait until after 12 weeks tbh. By that stage things might have settled down anyway and you may not feel the need to have it at all.
