Am I getting Braxton Hicks?

I am 34 weeks today and just been looking up what exactly Braxton hicks suppose to feel like ? and I was slightly alarmed that they said if you have contractions with period pain, dull back pain and diarrheal type ache then you should call the hospital as this maybe first sign of labour ? but then I have all these without the contraction itself!

Anyone has experienced something like this? It comes and goes and cannot be 'counted' and it's not particularly regular.

Hi Pinetreeland - I'm 38 weeks today and had similar feeling around 34 weeks (it's my first). My MW said that cramping feelings were most likely the lower uterus stretching and the baby's head settling lower in pelvis as at my last appointment the baby had started to engage. I'm not sure that I've noticed an actual BH contraction though.

The baby is now very low in the pelvis and I've been losing my mucous plug all week but still no contractions.

feels like its tightening and can be quite painful. If it was proper labour though, it would get much worse so try not to worry :)
