Hi.Wondered if anyone can stop me driving myself mad. Recently, unexpectedly, found out I'm pregnant again Shock (I'm 41, have two kids, 6 and 17months and had 3 miscarriages in between them which had a profound effect on me). My concern is that I feel so different this time, physically. Im about 6-7 weeks now. No changes in breasts and no pressure on bladder at any time this time, unheard of for me. Apart from my rounder belly which may have as much to do with xmas, I feel like theres nothing there at all. I keep telling myself there's something wrong and generally going a bit crazy. I have to wait 2 more weeks for a "reassurance" scan. Previously, I've been able to have earlier scans. Feels like a lifetime. Help! Confused

Hi Bluewater, and congratulations! I do not have any real advice really, I just did not want your post to go unanswered. I hope someone comes alomg soon with more eloquence and experience of what you are going through.

Its a scary time; I was petrified for most of my 1st trimester (am 16 weeks pg with dc2), and was really puzzled as I was nowhere near as worried during my first pregnancy. My 2nd one has been so different from my 1st symptoms-wise; I did not have any symptoms at 6-7 weeks at all with my first, but had awful morning sickness by then this time around!!! I suppose what I am trying to say is that it is not unusual to worry, and that each pregnancy is different, although it's hard not to compare each one.

I hope things go well for you Smile.

It must be horrible having to wait, especially given your history of miscarriages. But honestly, at this early stage many, many women will have absolutely NO symptoms. I didn't have any with either of my boys until at least 8 weeks, more like 9. Then the all day morning sickness kicked in.

Can you try and keep busy to take your mind off it, even if just a tiny bit?

Thanx 8rubberduckies and TheProvincialLady.
Thats good to know. I do feel much sicker (most of the day) this time round and I'm wondering how I'm going to cope at work feeling like this but at least i will have less opportunity to worry.Somehow I guess (I hope) Ill get to the scan date. The reality of pregnancy as a series of worries is coming back to me, compounded by additional worries of how on earth we are going to cope with 3! but anyway, a long way to go yet!One step at a time. Thanks again.

Are your first two chldren boys, by any chance?

I never knew I was preg at this stage & with my last it took longer for me to know & the othly thing that gave it away was the test result. You have a rounder belly which could be a sign. I did have very slight weight gain wwith my waists getting a bit tighter. One was at 6 months I just expanded almost over night. Hope everything goes well for you - best wishes
