Should i buy online tonight for baby purchases before the VAT increase starts tomorow?

I know there's little or no tax on kids clothes etc, assumed it was the same for baby stuff?

I'm not sure but think Dawny might be right, VAT may not even apply, worth checking.

If it does it depends how much you're planning on spending. I don't see it as a massive issue TBH compared to how the media have hyped it up, it's an extra 2.5% - so equates to £2.50 extra on every £100 you spend. If you're looking at smaller items it won't make a massive difference.

But obviously I do understand peoples circumstances are different and every penny does count for a heck of a lot of people!

Several shops are doing "VAT frozen until the end of January" offers too.

as far as i'm aware Childrens clothing is VAT free.
