I need some advice on lower right back pain and sore lower belly.
I also have a watery yellow discharge.
Haven't been able to get to the doctors due to the long weekend and the hospital is miles away.
Do you think it's a cause for concern? Im abit worried now..

Give your delivery suite a call - they'll give the best advice really.

Take care of yourself.

My partner told me to give them a ring as well, but last time i had a problem, they were really rude and blunt and told me that they couldn't tell me what the problem wasover the phone and to come in to the hospital, but that is impossible when i am at home alone with 2 kids asleep.

Is your partner there to stay with the children if you need to go in? Or do you have a friend/good neighbour who would sit.

If you are concerned and they want you to go in then you really should get checked out.

It may be that they are able to reassure you over the phone this time - hopefully someone else will answer.

Reoccuring uti/kidney infections in my last pregnancy presented much as you are describing.

If you really can't get to the hospital then at least see a doctor as soon as you can - I was admitted twice with mine which were pretty nasty and there's the worry they will set of premature labour. Surgery reopens tomorrow morning; if you call as soon as they open you should be seen if you explain.

Keep your fluid intake up, meanwhile.

Agree with Manda then - straight to the doctor in the morning. In the meantime, rest as much as you can and try to drink lots of water.

I didn't have the 'typical' needing to go to the toilet often or it stinging/burning when I went at ALL.

But I did have a constant dull ache in my lower back (off to one side) that got worse and worse, and an achey pain under my bump that seemed to come and go (I think they were worried most about that, like it might be contractions. It wasn't)

When I was admitted the pain was so awful codeine didn't even seem to ease it much (I gave birth with NO pain relief so I can 'take' pain!) and I was squirming around, moaning, unable to find a position that was comfortable or eased the pain Blush. Plus I felt kinda nauseous (but didn't throw up).

MandaHugNKiss · 03/01/2011 21:11

Oh, it had eased considerably within 12 hours after 2 lots of my course of anti-biotics Smile

Ok, thanks for all the info.. It doesnt purn when i pee. I am needing the toilet alot, but then that might be to do with the amount of water i've been drinking over the weekend.
The only thing really bothering me is the discharge, which at first i thought was urine as i wet my pants with it.
Also the lower belly pain, not sharp, more of a dull ache accross the belly and the sharp pain that kepps coming and going in my lower right back.
Do you think anti-biotics would cure it?
Also will whatever this is harm the baby in anyway?
