Hi I'm just curious. Im only 8 weeks and I seriously can't wear any of my jeans today! I don't like the feel of anything cutting into to me. My tummy feels really bloated and tender. Don't remember this with my second....
Anyone else? Is this normal? Don't know what I'm going to wear to work tomorrow Confused
Tia

Hi

I have only only had one pregnancy but I was definitely feeling really bloated that early; if i wasnt a little on the podgy side for my clothes already i would have been ok, but i distinctly remember feeling like a whale from early on. This time round im only 4 weeks and already taking in a lot of extra fluids and feeling bloated!

Fortress · 03/01/2011 12:45

I'm hoping it's mostly fluid although I'm having to graze all day to keep sickness at bay Hmm

Thanks for your reply kitty and good luck with your second pregnancy :)

22 weeks with first
10 weeks with second
3rd???

grumblinalong · 03/01/2011 12:52

I'm 15 weeks with my 3rd and I haven't had to wear maternity clothes yet. I have lost a lot of weight with hyperemesis though so I'm not sure if this is normal.

Scouseem · 03/01/2011 12:53

7weeks with my 3rd. I was just too uncumfy and the relief was amazing. My midwife said my uterus popped up quite quick so think that's because I never done exercises after my other 2 so my stomach muscle have given up and your body already knows what to do.

CardyMow · 03/01/2011 13:17

With my 3rd, I went into maternity clothes at about 16 weeks. I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant with dc4 - and have been in Maternity clothes since 10 weeks Shock. And the tops are now too small!!

Wallace · 03/01/2011 13:18

4rh dc - about 5 months I think?

Fortress · 03/01/2011 13:52

So quite mixed then.... Thanks
Feel rather depressed I didn't do more excersise after last two! :(
I don't think I look too pregnant it's more that it's really uncomfortable at the moment wearing anything over my stomach...
May have to buy some maternity leggings online...

I couldn't get into my normal jeans from about 8 or 9 weeks with my third pg. I used a bump band. I was relatively fit before getting pregnant as well.

Thank God I'm not the only one! I was just coming on here to post something similar. I'll be 12 weeks on Thursday with DC3 and everything feels uncomfortable. To begin with it was bloating but after about 8 weeks I could really feel what I assume is the womb growing. I haven't been able to sleep on my front for weeks and I'm resorting to my loose clothes. I did wonder about getting the maternity clothes down but felt like a bit of a tit as I'm still so early on.

I suppose I need to buckle down for a few 'fat' weeks (or should that be 'fatter') before there will be a bona fide bump.

I was wondering whether it might be twins. Scan on Friday so we'll see...

Fortress · 03/01/2011 20:44

Oh I'm so pleased there are others that can't fit into their jeans :) was getting quite depressed at the thought that I must be unfit and fat and had no muscles left and that when i'm old I'll be incontinent and 'everything' will fall out agh!

I know what you mean Prinpo about getting the maternity things down already. I feel like a bit of a tit having to roll my leggings down under my 'bump' to accommodate bloatyness? Hmm

Good luck with your scan Prinpo too

hi im 5 weeks with dc3, the jeans i wore 2day no longer fit (button undone other than when i was walking around town), my other jeans r tight and i have the button undone at home, but its not baby bump its just bloating

Darlingdamsel · 07/01/2011 20:48

This is depressing. I am having my first ... at 39 ... and have chronic IBS that makes me look pregnant naturally if my meds aren't working 100%

I am now 12 weeks and look definitely pregnant. On the upside, I get seats on the tube. On the downside, 90% of my clothes don't fit.

It makes me wonder if I will be huge (that said, I have only gained 1.5 kilos)?

Sigh ...

Eglu · 07/01/2011 20:51

I am 14 weeks with no. 3. I managed normal trousers until around 10 weeks this time. Although I still haven't gained any weight yet.

emoo777 · 08/01/2011 08:13

This thread is a relief to me too! I am only on my second but at 6 weeks I am beginning to show and reckon I have two weeks max left in my normal jeans. Shock

dazedandconfused · 08/01/2011 08:53

I'm on pregnancy 3 and felt really podgy from around 9 to 16 weeks. Now, at 19 weeks, I am getting a proper bump and am feeling a bit better. I don't think an early bump means you're going to be bigger - it often seems to even out later on. That's what I'm hoping ... although I have just stuffed my face over Christmas so maybe I'm kidding myself Grin
